Giuliano has a network of truffle hunters spread throughout the territory, and the fresh truffles are inspected, selected and purchased personally by Giuliano himself.
The company is always in search of novelties regarding fresh truffles, to offer excellent products from the point of view of quality as well as of price.
When it comes to the conservation of fresh truffles, the company uses modern technologies for freezing, drying and sterilising, to guarantee excellent levels of food safety.
The products preserved through the process of sterilisation are submitted to a strict control on the thermal treatment, to guarantee its duration for 3 years without the need to store in the refrigerator before opening the jar.
The company and women
In 1994, GIULIANO TARTUFI starts its activities with Matilde and Maria, working in the laboratory to create the first production batch using fresh truffles. “The first launching pad to become what we are today!” says a proud Giuliano.
Then came Teresa, and then Bice, who together still represent a cornerstone of the company. With these first loyal workers, the company has committed itself to improving its recipes with black and white truffles, the same products that, to this day, are the most popular and the most beloved of the GIULIANO TARTUFI range.
Then came Marzia and Anna as well… And then, gradually, all the others, until the company reached the 25-30 female employees it boasts today.
The fact that the company has a majority of women workers is casual – up to a certain point. At work, women are more attentive, accurate, and have more of a teamwork spirit, all positive characteristics that have helped GIULIANO TARTUFI to gain strength and determination to face the market of black and white truffles in Umbria, in Italy, and in more than 50 countries worldwide.
